Managing Accounts and Enrolments Registering for My eLearning VistaIf you are new to My eLearning Vista and wish to use the system to teach one of your courses please call the Service Desk on 02 9385 1333 to request registration as a My eLearning Vista user. You will be sent an information pack containing details of the available training and support, as well as the details of your local eLearning Group Administrator and Designer (eGAD). Please note: if you have previous completed certification training for My eLearning Vista, you do not need to complete this step. Creating Course/ModulesVista Courses/Modules are created and managed through eLIMS (eLearning Information Management System). This web-based program uses information from central UNSW databases (NSS Student and NSS HR) to enable the creation of Vista learning contexts (Groups, Courses and Modules), enrolment of staff into various roles across all the learning contexts, and to automate student enrolments into Modules. Learning & Teaching @ UNSW has devolved the management of eLearning accounts to authorised eLearning Group Administrators and Designers (eGAD) in schools and faculties. Administrators have been trained for most Vista Groups. Vista courses/modules (including summer courses and non-assessable courses) will need to be requested each semester through your local eGAD (see the list below). If a Vista Group does not yet have its own Administrator Learning & Teaching will create new Vista Courses and Modules for academic staff who require them. Contact us via the Service Desk (02 9385 1333) to make your request. Please note that you will need to register as a My eLearning Vista user before your eGAD can give you access to your course/module (if you have previously completed certification training you will already be registered). You can register by contacting us via via the Service Desk (02 9385 1333). Getting Access to Courses/ModulesYour eGAD will authorise you for the roles you require in each course/module (Designer, Instructor, Teaching Assistant or Auditor). They will also be able to add other staff members to your course/module as designers, instructors, teaching assistants or auditors. For more information on available roles, please see Managing Modules. Your local eGAD will also be able to assist you with managing student enrolments. More information on managing student enrolments is available under Student Enrolments. Trained eLearning Group Administrators
